Adirondac Ishkode ("Kode") is a product of the excellent breeding by Adirondac Goldens in Mexico, New York.  Kode was born November 4, 2002 out of FTCH AFTCH Ritchie's Toronto Bust, Am.***, FDHF  X  Adirondac Ruby Reddog CDX, MH, WCX.  I started her training in Wilderness Airscent at age 10 weeks. By age 22 months she had passed all eight certifications required for Operational Wilderness Airscent K9 by my team, Massasauga Search & Rescue, as well as the requirements of the New York State Federation of Search & Rescue Teams. That same month we became certified by NASAR as a Canine SARTECH III, Wilderness Area. Our training expanded into the area of human remains detection and we became certified by IPWDA in Advanced Land Cadaver in April 2006.  Kode is an awesome and tireless "redhead" who is driven to work hard and play hard.  She is my first operational SAR K9 and has taught me invaluable lessons about working dogs and the special partnership they offer us as handlers.

My goals are to develop our skills as a K9 unit to the highest level possible that allows us to confidently and professionally perform our job for the agencies we serve and to encourage and assist other K9 SAR handlers with like-minded goals.  Kode and I proudly serve the citizens of New York State and all others who request our help.
